Background

​

I was born and raised in Sheridan IN, attended Franklin College, and moved to Carmel after graduating cum laude with a degree in accounting/minor in business in 1996.  

 

We moved to Westfield when our oldest son, Owen, was 6 months old primarily because of the school system.  Our youngest son, Elliott, was the biggest beneficiary of our school system, able to keep pace with his classmates despite struggling with mental health issues and a three-year battle with leukemia.  The administration, teachers, and resource assistance at Carey Ridge provided more than just educational support to our family during his time there.  Elliott graduated from Westfield High School with his Automotive Technician certification from J. Everett Light Career Center in 2024. Owen is a 2020 graduate of Westfield High School and a 2024 graduate of Franklin College. He is pursuing his goal of becoming a Certified Financial Planner; working as a Financial Advisor for OneIndiana Financial Group in Indianapolis.  

 

 

Professional Highlights
I am a certified public accountant (CPA), a certified fraud examiner (CFE), certified construction industry financial professional (CCIFP), and a chief financial officer (CFO) for a general contractor in Indianapolis. My professional experience allows me to bring business expertise plus sound accounting and finance best practices to board discussions and decisions.
